As the first step for muffler assembly, this machine automatically feeds the spot welded sheet plates (inner & outer) from a stocker, then roll forms and lock seams. After consecutive processes, the machine can automatically eject the completed product.
Individual machines can change a tooling (mandrel), and the other mandrels (2pcs) - mandrels also stack on the attached loading unit.

Muffler Roll & Spot Machines | For Auto Bus & Truck Baffle Sub-Assemby
The Woojin muffler roll and spot machine is designed for inserting the baffle sub-assembly into jackets and spot welding on the surface of jackets for fastening baffles to inside of jackets.This machine is also powered by a hydraulic cylinder. A specially designed tool is lifted by a vertical hydraulic cylinder. When the tools are lifted up, a set of locks grasps tools for safety. A jacket should be manually loaded on the bottom mould first. After the baffle loading is carried out, the baffle sub-assemblies are inserted slowly into jackets by hydraulic power, when inserted baffle reach a proper place, the tool stops there for a moment for spot welding process to make jackets and baffle sub-assemblies into one piece.
After spot welding is completed, the tool retreats up raising completed jackets for ejection. Jackets can be unloaded manually or automatically according depending on requirements.

Automatic Muffler Roll & Seam Welding Machines
The automatic Roll & Seaming Welding Machine has been designed to produce a number of profiles of cases including round, oval and even irregular shapes depending on specifc requirments. Woojin's automatic roll and seaming welding machine's basic mechanism comes from Woojin's standard Lock Seaming Machinery which can also produce various profile cases for Automotive Exhaust Systems as well as buses and trucks.
The Automatic Muffler Roll & Seaming process involves sheet metal being formed around a Mandrel, creating a seam by resistance welded to connect the two edges of the sheets to form the body, or case which is normally the main component of a vehicles muffler.
